Social Station is a co-working space for startup tech companies, website designers, and app developers. Taking influence from I.M. Pei‘s iconic work in Dallas, the design utilizes a composition of geometric forms to create organized and functional spaces. The simplicity of geometric forms inform the feel of the space. Minimalistic detailing and clean lines create an environment that provides a comforting and calming backdrop for creative professionals to work. Spaces are determined by a geometric form - either a triangle or quadrilateral. They are arranged according to function, with work spaces on the west side of the building and entertainment & social spaces focused on the east side. Some geometric forms overlap to create relationships between spaces and to unify the building as a whole. Workers in the space draw inspiration from their environment as they work to create their own functional, minimalistic, and aesthetically pleasing spaces on the web.
