MARIE PERRIELLO

          The task was to design a hotel restaurant/bar within a boutique hotel located on The High Line Park in Manhattan, New York.   The hotel is built in an old warehouse building that has direct access to the High Line. 

          My concept for this project was to interwind natural elements with man made developments.  Throughout time, humans have covered nature up with their man made environments.  However, in some cases nature has been found re-emerging from industrial developments.  The Highline is a great example of nature peeking through the industrialization and development of New York City.
